Yep, he didn't say he was involved at first. But knew he was because that Andy R, who posted a long intro as new owner and linked to his own forum called The Royals[/URL]. I spotted in his forum footer he linked to forums in their network and at least 3 of them are owned by BamaStangGuy. So knew something was going on. Since though he's carrying admin status and has posted about improving Admin Talk. So looks like he's come out as being one of the new owners of admin talk, or maybe he's the sole owner, not sure?

Well. I'll continue to stay away then.

Mark, how comes when you quoted me above. The link in the quote is showing [/URL] And it hasn't even quoted the link proper, THE is a link, and ROYALS isn't. When the link should have been in your quote: THE ROYALS.

Why not start an admin forum then. I'd be willing to help you out on it when I can with posts.

Haven't the time. Plus, as I said, it needs to be someone from outside, with no baggage. I'd hardly be seen as impartial.

If I was starting such a forum, which I wouldn't, I'd be ok using vB5. I can make it work well enough, this site is one example but I'd customise it more than this. You've probably seen www.hdherd.com, that's a very successful site that I customised for them. And it's still on 5.0.5. It'll be even better when I upgrade them. Which I will probably do with 5.1.4.
